Mario Javier Saban is an Argentine lawyer, who got his degree at the University of Buenos Aires and at the same time he became a deep and methodical historian. His best-seller

"Convert Jews," which revealed the Jewish origin of the most ancient and traditional Argentine families, gave him renown and repercussion and so did his subsequent books. Since he started his career as a historian and thanks to his prestige, for being a genealogist and analyst of the history of the Inquisition of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews, he is constantly invited to give conferences in Argentina and abroad. Among the numerous scholarships he won, because of his job, there is the prominent "Mois Chami" of Argentine history (1993-1994)

This book summarizes the investigation he carried out for three vears and it analyses the cultural and religious Jewish roots which can be found in Christianity, the social conditions Christianity developed in and the religious and political problems of the Roman Empire and Judaism at that time.

The purpose of his book is that both Christians and Jews should think about our history to find our shared past. Not onlv is his book a deep study of ancient history but it is also a way to find a mutual understanding and the brotherhood of mankind.
